As most of you know, I'm a cool, level-headed kind of guy usually, but this is totally a rant, so feel free to ignore it or VTD... but I'm really pissed off. I placed an order for a carbon canister last week... they said they would have to special order it and they would get the part this past Wednesday and then ship it out to me. SO, since I can only work on my Z on the weekends, I explicitly instructed them to send it overnight so that I would have it by yesterday. Well, the part got to Courtesy on Wednesday (which is pretty good considering two of my other orders were delayed because of missed deadlines getting to Courtesy). BUT, they shipped it by 3 day select! This means that I won't get the part till Monday, which means that I have to waste $50 for another week's worth of public transportation costs and wasted parking garage monthly fees since I won't be able to work on my Z until NEXT weekend (so, these extra fees basically DOUBLE the price of the part for me). PLUS, it clearly wasn't the case that the guy who took my order misunderstood my instructions because they charged me $24 shipping for overnighting it. This is the 4th order out of 5-7 orders total that I've placed with Courtesy this past year that they have messed up. The last order they messed up was because of the SAME FREAKING REASON (shipping by a slower method than I requested and paid for). Now, I'm all for giving people second (and third.... and fourth...) chances, especially since these problems only started happening in the past year (I've been ordering from them for several years without any problems)... it's understandable that these little glitches may happen from time to time... but, screwing up FOUR out of SEVEN orders is UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE! They did offer to refund the difference in the shipping ($10), but that's a given, and such a pitiful attempt at placating me that it's almost offensive. And yes, I did ask to speak to Steve (parts manager), but of course he's out on vacation. But, the only possible thing that he could do to rectify this (and all the past errors) and to even get me to consider ordering from them again is if he gave me the part for free (somehow I don't think that's going to happen). Somebody PLEASE give me the phone number to that other discount supplier (out in Arizona I think) because Courtesy just lost one of their long time customers!
